Who We Are

About George Sakalis

George Sakalis is a 30 year old Internet enthusiast who also happens to be the Editor In Chief and co-founder of ExtraHype. He is an avid gamer, film buff, loves reading books (sci-fi and horror genres being amongst his favorite) and is hopelessly in love with the Web and Pop/Geek culture. He used to run (the now defunct) Geek-Lover, and he has worked as a writer for magazines and websites. You can follow him on Twitter: GeorgeSakalis_ or contact him via Mail: admin@extrahype.com

About Andy Webb

Andy Webb is a 23-year-old amateur visual media enthusiast; which is to say, he likes movies and television. A lot. Based in the Birthplace of Americaâ„¢ (also known as Philadelphia, PA), Andy has spent time working and attending the local film festival circuit, and is the creator and co-host of the sometimes-podcast “TMI with Josh and Andy,” where he and partner-in-crime Josh DiCristo wax nonsensical about film and the Amish mafia.

About Kevin Grismore

Kevin Grismore lives and breathes video games. He’s a 20-year-old student of Sound Design and Engineering at DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Washington. When he’s not buried by the demands of game development and engineering projects, he enjoys following the twists and turns of the game industry at large. Getting excited about new games and technology is a hobby in of itself, and when it’s time to discuss those topics he punches his keyboard until his opinions reach the treachery of the internet.

About Ray Ambrosini

Ray Ambrosini is a multi award-winning novelist (each award, we’ve since discovered, are simply scribbles on bar napkins), actor and gaming/music fiend. In his 24 years he’s studied music through headphone and speaker galore and has played enough hours of video games where we can comfortably say that you do not, in fact, turn into a potato from playing them.

About James

James is ExtraHype’s technical administrator. A Software Architect by trade, he’s responsible for the site’s development and support and, like all IT people, he’s characterised by a (un)healthy dose of cynicism. His main areas of interest cover software engineering, computer science (the math stuff), quantum mechanics (the non math stuff), philosophy, pnp rpgs, copying Bob Ross’s paintings and claiming them as his own creations, and making music.
